Flat elastic is produced by braided machines, with raw material called latex made up of rubber in strings like polypropylene, polyester and sewing yarn.

There are yarns made of polyp and polyester in the narrow woven sector. Polypropylene, also known as pp string and polyp string, is assumed as the lightest and most convenient string. Polip yarn has a hygenic feature to prevent allergic reactions.

The polyester string is made of polyester fibre, entirely artificially and chemically. By having high flexibility, polyester strings are affected by moisture at low levels.

Polip strings keep moisture, water, dirt, and stain out caused by sweating and similar effects due to their breathable feature. Furthermore, it is more favourable than other strings due to its renewable, recyclable, and eco-friendly features. Polip strings are durable and flexible; however, being acetone causes the problem of static electricity.

We produce flat elastic in our facilities from 4mm to 16 mm in width, as in black, white, and coloured strings from our wide colour pallet demanded by customers depending on the types of yarn.

We, as Tekiş Lastic family, have flat elastics in our stock as well, ready for instant production, with 20 different types of coloured polyester. In addition, we have black and white polyester and polypropylene types of elastic cords in our stores. Besides solid colours, we also manufacture lurex, spotted and striped types of elastic cords.

We wrap our flat elastic from 2meter to 200meters in different wrapping types- standard cardboard, mini card, and bobbin. Moreover, putting directly to packages without wrapping and carboards and mini cards with unique prints due to clients demands are also our services.

When the wrapping process ends, we make gelatinization, also known as the shrink process, on special machines to avoid staining and scattering. When the packaging process ends, product labels are attached to products depending on stock codes from our system by using barcode devices.

The products attached with barcodes are packaged due to a standard number of boxes. Next, the company name, product name, product cıde, and the number of packages are printed by barcode devices and attached. Hence, when all the process ends, the boxes of elastic cords are moved in a specific order from Packaging Department to other stores in the factory for delivery by shipments to customers. The Shipment and Warehouse Department make final checks and prepare invoices for packages. In the last step, the packages are delivered to customers.

It is used in making accessories, haberdashery, etc. They are products that people can use in various hobbies. Flat elastics are placed on the edges of the agenda to close the pages more accessible. Our Customer Services take the orders and directly forward them to Production Planning Department to start the process. Production Planning Department makes the list of needed raw materials depending on the amount of order and type of elastic cord regarding the Product’s ID. Continuously, The Sales Department gets the required raw materials for the order according to lists. Raw materials are taken into Quality Control test, then taken to use in production in the factory.

Flat elastics are produced in tres machines consisting of tools called muppets. To summarize working principles of Elastic device are;

Tres machine braids the elastic by synchronised movements of tools-muppets. During the braiding process, the latex is stable and placed in the centre of muppets. The yarns are attached to muppets and braided by circular motions of bobbins on muppets. Elastic cords are used with suitable muppets due to widths. The widths of muppets are 13, 17, 21, 25 and 33. Our standard productions are flat elastic 6 mm in width on 13 muppets, 7 mm flat elastic on 17 muppets, 10 mm flat elastic on 21 muppets, 12mm flat elastic on 25 muppets and 15mm flat elastic on 33 muppets. Additionally, we produce from 4mm to 150 mm in width due to customer demands.

Before the braiding process, yarns are wrapped to suitable bobbins on tres machines working with the cycle principle. After the wrapping process, the threads are put onto the muppets of the device. Following that, quality control tests are made, the gear settings are done depending on the product’s technical characteristics to be produced. The production starts after detailed and meticulous steps. Depending on the range of deadlines (order delivery time) given by the Production Planning Department, the ordered products are taken for wrapping due to customer demands in Packaging Department.
