What is Woven Elastic?
Our woven elastics such as polypropylene, polyester, sewing thread, mus nylon thread, glitter etc. threads are produced on the weaving machines depending on their technique using the shuttle movements of the needle on the raw material called latex, which is made from rubber according to a specific pattern. Briefly, woven elastics are a type of weaving obtained by the intersection of weft and warp threads.
Warp; the threads extend to the length of the woven elastic. The warp threads are at right angles to the weft ropes.
Weft; the threads pass from one side of the threads to the other in the transverse direction between the warp threads in the woven elastic.
What are the types of woven elastic?
We continue our work in the sector to offer the best quality in line with our customers’ requests with our various patterns ranging from 6mm-160mm with our Tekiş Lastik woven elastics. Our company has determined weaving products that we call strong weaving, super ready-made, and plain garments are always available in our stocks in black and white. Furthermore, super ready-made elastics produced from 20 different polyester colour scales are always available in our stores. In addition to these products, our company also manufactures patterned woven rubber models such as silvery, striped, honeycomb, ladder, and hose pattern rubber.
Which sectors are woven elastic used?
In the haberdashery sector, elastics which we call strong woven, are packaged in ready-to-sell and offered to the market. In the textile sector, in addition to our garment rubbers, we also have sensitive elastics, which we call mus nylon rubber, used in some parts of underwear in direct contact with the skin.
Our wide elastics, offered to our customers as shoe rubber in the shoe industry, are highly preferred due to their strong features. In addition, we also have models used in the defence industry as rifle hangers and bandoliers.
We also manufacture woven elastics used in corsets that support the waist circumference in the medical sector. We continue our processes during production, considering both the flexibility and the material ratios of the raw material demanded by the customer. Our main goals are using and applying new technologies in production, increasing the quality of the goods produced in a broad sense, and aiming for mechanisation of output by using production techniques with our expert R&D and production team to make the most suitable quality woven rubber according to the areas of use.
As Tekiş Lastik family, we offer woven elastics, which we produce in standard quality, to our customers serving in various sectors. While providing this service, we carry out R&D studies with our production staff to achieve the quality demanded by our customers. In our R&D studies, we also make woven elastic designs to capture the required width, flexibility and touch (texture) of the product requested by the customer. To standardise the quality in line with these designs, product cards containing the production identity are created, and special stock codes belonging to our company are given.
These stock codes include the type, width, colour, material ratio, flexibility and raw material quantities of the product. Stock codes are uploaded to the database and saved in the system in a way that can be accessed at any time. Thus, when our customers request the same woven elastic in the future, we can offer the same standard quality as before, in line with the technical information in the system.
Besides these, our woven elastics are passed through a specific heat setting with certain chemical pesticides to be long-lasting, protect their touch and achieve the hardness according to the area of use. Hence, they go through the production stage we call “apre” in terms of external protection. The special chemicals we use during these stages are called “apretan”.
The orders received by our customer representatives are forwarded to the production planning unit to be produced. The production planning unit gives the most appropriate deadline to the customer representatives to provide the fastest service to the customer, considering the technical information of the order and the stock control related to the supply of raw materials, together with the machine planning and the production process. According to the order quantity and the type of woven elastic, raw material requirement planning is made in the production planning unit, depending on the production identity of the product. In line with this need, the necessary raw material supply for the order is provided by communicating with the purchasing unit. Our raw materials are passed through the required quality controls and delivered to the warping department in our factory to be used in production.
How to produce woven elastic?
Warp is the two yarn systems formed in weaving, oriented towards the neck of the elastic and parallel to its edge. The warp threads are at right angles to the weft threads. These two threads together form the texture of the elastic.
Before being brought to the weaving machine, the yarns are transferred to the bobbins according to their thickness and length.
Thread bobbins are placed in the creel in order of pattern and colour.
The number of warp wires in the warp winding stage depends on the creel capacity.
The number of warp wires to be used in weaving is achieved by adding a sufficient number of bobbins to the creel.
After the yarns coming from the creel are passed through the warp reed, they are wound on the warp reels between the routers and tensioners. The threads wound on the warp reels are placed in the creels of the weaving machines.
After the machine planning of the production planning unit according to the given deadline, the warp threads are passed through the wires and reed teeth, which we call the power, on the machine according to the product’s technical information in the order (draw-in plan). The weaving elastic production in the order is started by performing the drawing-in process. Apart from the woven elastics we have prescribed before, this process is carried out for special woven elastics (which we have not done before) for the purpose of higher quality production by customer satisfaction, as a result of the research of our R&D team. Our aim in carrying out this R&D study is to increase our product range, ensure continuous innovation in the sector, and develop the woven elastic market.
In the production of woven elastic in the order, if the customer’s request is finished, the products are conveyed to the finishing department at this stage. The chemical drugs are mixed with liquid apretants at a specific rate to give the elastic a touch (touch) and hardness.The woven elastics coming out of the finishing section are left to cool in specially manufactured boilers. After the waiting phase, the order is delivered to the packaging department to be packed, depending on the customer’s request. Our woven elastics are wrapped in different winding shapes in the packaging department, such as standard rolls, cardboard, mini cards and bobbins, from 1 meter to 200 meters, depending on their widths. In addition, it is also wrapped in cardboard and mini cards with unique prints as requested by the customer. After the packaging process of the products is completed, the product labels are removed from the barcode devices according to the stock codes in the system and pasted on the products.
The products whose barcodes are pasted are packaged according to the number of standard boxes. At the next stage, the parcel barcode, which indicates the company name, product name, product code and the number of items in the box, is removed from the barcode devices and pasted on the boxes. Woven elastic packages, which pass through all stages to be delivered to the customer in the packaging department, are shipped between warehouses within the factory in a particular order. After the control and invoicing processes in the dispatch warehouse section, the parcels are delivered to the customer.
